Drupal tip on replacing URL shortening services for your own website

FAIL (the browser should render some flash content, not this).

This is a brief overview of two modules that I use, when I want to shorten my own links, without using tinyurl or bit.ly. In the first half I show you where to locate the internal Drupal links for content and in the second half, how to setup aliases for external links. What your gaining is expsure to your own URL when posting in feeds versus giving away the exposure to a URL shortening service. I don't know what the SEO side affects are by using the method shown here. I hope you find this useful check out more at MatthewM.org
