Hello, I think this is a great tutorial and your voice makes it very easy to follow. Would you be able to explain how to put a content type in panels and make it a user profile? Thanks again for the great tutorial!!

Hi,

A question if I may. I'm creating a simple drupal 7 site. I struggled with Drupal 6 for some time trying to allow users
to upload misc files to my site. The idea is to add a file field of say text, powerpoint, and or audio. Once the file is uploaded it is listed and can be added to.

I'd rather have my users access the page itself, upload the file from the field (maybe with a fancy progess bar) and have that page updated each time a file is added with description and author fields. Would you recommend setting a custom content type with those additional fields? How would I designate all the files to one web url?

I test drupal with an xampp apache server on Windows 7 with a registered dyndns account. so, whenever I am online the content is also being server.

If busy no need to answer.

Sincerely,

John Lafosse
